Recently, good news has come from the field of ship environmental protection: a new type of ship sewage treatment device has been successfully developed and entered the testing phase. It employs innovative treatment technology to address the current challenges in ship sewage treatment.
It utilizes advanced membrane bioreactor (MBR) technology, combined with a unique microbial culture system, to better decompose and purify various pollutants in ship sewage. Compared with traditional sewage treatment devices, the new device significantly improves the removal rate of organic matter, nitrogen, phosphorus, and other pollutants in sewage, meeting stricter international emission standards such as MARPOL 73/78 annex IV and new domestic ship pollutant emission standards.
Furthermore, the device is more compact in design, occupying less space, making installation and layout more convenient for ships with limited space. Its intelligent control system can monitor various parameters in the treatment process in real time and automatically adjust the operating mode according to changes in sewage volume and water quality, greatly reducing the workload for crew operation and maintenance. Currently, the device has undergone sea trials on several different types of ships with good results. It is expected to be widely used in the shipping industry in the near future, making a significant contribution to protecting the marine environment.
